Gradiva: Ein pompejanisches Phantasiestück
Wilhelm Jensen
1903
LFRD 2834
Carl Jung suggested that Freud read Wilhelm Jensen’s novel Gravdia: A Pompeian Fantasy, and Freud found the work to be full of insights into the unconscious mind, and the technique of the psychoanalytic cure. In his analysis of the text, Freud described how he and Jensen, ‘probably drew from the same source and work upon the same object, each of us by another method’.
